Don Barclay, a volunteer with Sleeping Children Around the World (SCAW) spoke passionately of his recent trips to Africa and India to distribute bedkits.  The image above shows what goes into a typical kit that costs $35.  Since SCAW started in 1970, 1.7 million bedkits have been distributed equally to boys and girls ages 6 - 12.  Over the years Rotary clubs have volunteered to source the items that comprise the bedkits (all articles are purchased locally) and assisted with the distribution.  For more information and pictures Don's presentation is posted in the download section of the home page.

Don also spoke about his other passion, helping the children in Togo.  He and 3 others started SET, Support Education Togo, in 2011.  This is reminiscent of how Rotary began in 1905 by Paul Harris and 3 others....hmmmmm!
