"En Garde" - Club learns about Fencing
Rotarians Learn About Fencing from Universty of Western Fencing Coaches
At our December 3, 2015 meeting we were treated to an introduction of fencing by Western University coaches, Brad Winder & Carole Christie who brought along 4 fencing students to demonstrate. We were also invited to participate by donning the protective fencing garb and tryng our hand at the sport. Michael Wibbing and Kevin Webb "fought" in one lively bout while President Lillian and her grand daughter participated in a second bout. It was a lot of fun and surprisingly aerobic as we were exhausted after only fencing for a couple of minutes. To see additional pictures click below.
