The Rotary Club of London Hyde Park was chartered in 1997.  Our growing club is one of 34,000 Rotary clubs located in 200 countries and territories fostering the ideal of “Service Above Self”.  Our members consisting of business leaders and professionals in the community meet the first and third Thursday of each month from 7:30-8:30 am to hear and be inspired by exciting speakers, discuss ways to contribute to our local and international communities and enjoy fellowship and fun. During Covid, we are meeting by Zoom. Pre and post Covid we meet at beautiful West Haven Golf and Country Club.

Our current fundraising events to support our local and international projects include our:
  1. Annual charity golf day, “Nine & Dine”
  2. Annual Wine Tasting and Food Pairing

Some of our current projects include:
  1. Along with Rotarians worldwide, financially contributing to the eradication of polio from the globe
  2. Supporting Wellspring London, a local organization providing non-medical support to people living with cancer and their care givers
  3. Sponsoring London secondary school students to attend the Rotary ‘Adventure in Citizenship’ conference in Ottawa, the ‘Rotary Youth Leadership Award’ RYLA conference at Western University and providing Citizenship Awards
  4. Helping the Salvation Army at Christmas by staffing one of their kettles
  5. Participating in the Lions Hyde Park Christmas parade

We are always looking for new ideas that will help our local community and communities in the developing world.

Over the past few years our club has:

  2. Supported the Hyde Park Business Improvement Association
  3. Supported the ‘Rotary Square’ (rink in the winter) at Covent Garden Market, downtown London
  4. Sponsored both incoming and outgoing exchange students,  as well as outgoing Rotary Ambassadorial Scholars and as of 2013, Global Grant Scholars
  5. Successfully implemented international community projects in Central America and Africa.
  6. Provided financial support to various charitable organizations in London. A number are listed on the website.
