David Knoppert, a 67 year old golfer (20.0 handicap) and a member of the Rotary Club of London Hyde Park, is the individual who is involved in the Marathon of Goodwill.
WHAT
The Marathon of Goodwill will be a 12 hour long golf ball hitting marathon.
Pledges of 1 cent per ball hit may be made; an income tax receipt will be issued.
To date, a total of approximately $1 per ball hit has been pledged. Pledges may be made by contacting David.
The Marathon of Goodwill will occur at West Haven Golf and Country Club, London, ON.
WHEN
The Marathon of Goodwill will happen from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm on Wednesday July 24th, 2019.

WHY
The proceeds from The Marathon of Goodwill will support the outreach work of COMMIT (Canadian Outreach Medical Team), a group affiliated with the Stratford Rotary Club, with its work in Nicaragua. In addition to providing medical clinics in remote villages, some of the projects that the COMMIT team is involved in include drilling of wells, providing safe and efficient stoves, supplying computers to schools, supporting a prenatal home, and establishing efficient gardening.
