The Reach and Benefits of Rotary, and Interact Clubs for younger members
Linda Badke from London South and Marissa Cutts from our club are looking after Rotary's Interact Club here in London. They will talk about planned activities and will introduce Interact student member, Majo Camacaro, who will make a presentation.
Majo Camacaro is a Venezuelan girl who started her volunteer journey at a very young age. With Rotarian parents and family, she grew up volunteering and participating in Rotary events. Majo joined the interact club in her hometown when she was 13 and, at the age of 14, became the president of her interact club. Majo was a Rotary Youth Exchange student from 2019-2020 in London, Ontario. Because of the covid 19 pandemic and the political situation in Venezuela, Majo did not return home. She obtained her Ontario High School diploma in 2021 and was successfully accepted at Fanshawe College for the Honours Bachelor of Interior Design. In her second year, Majo continues to volunteer and contribute to the community with Rotary, especially the Interact Club of London. Majo has had the opportunity to organize and participate in the first Zone Interact Convention in Calgary. Majo has gained leadership skills and has applied them to the interact club for the last few years, and at this moment, she is the president of the club, and she strives to revitalize it.
